Vacation, sick days and missed chores
Pause everything, or excuse one day.
What it is
Vacation mode stops tasks from being scheduled and nothing counts as missed. For a single sick day, you can excuse a missed chore so it doesn't break their streak or cost their allowance.
Why it helps your kid
Fair rules keep kids trying. Losing a streak because of the flu teaches the wrong lesson.
Where to find it
Family tab → Vacation mode. For one missed chore: Kids tab → your kid → Streaks, quests & bonuses → Missed chores.
How to do it
- Vacation: Family tab → Vacation mode → pick the last day away → Pause. Tap Resume to end it early.
- One day: open your kid's page, find Missed chores (last 7 days), and tap Excuse on the one to forgive.
What your kid sees
On vacation, a note that there are no tasks until you're back. An excused chore stops counting against them.

Does vacation stop payday?
No. Payday still runs, so allowance and money they already earned still arrive.
