Chores and jobs
Chores are expected and unpaid. Jobs are extra and paid.
What it is
A chore is something everyone in a family does, like making the bed. It isn't paid. A job is extra work, like washing the car, and it pays. Each task repeats every day, on the days you choose, or just once.
Why it helps your kid
Separating the two teaches that some work is part of being a family, and extra effort earns extra money.

How to do it
- Tap Pick from the list to choose from 150 ready-made tasks. Search, or filter by age.
- Tick the ones you want, choose which kids, and tap Add. Suggested pay is filled in by age; change it if you like.
- Schedule: Use suggestions puts chores on every day and most jobs on Saturday. You can pick All every day or All weekdays instead.
- Or tap Write your own: name it, pick Chore or Job, set pay, pick kids, and choose Every day, Some days, or Once (with a date).
- To change or stop a task later, tap it on the Tasks tab. Untick Active to stop it; its history stays.
What your kid sees
Today's tasks at the top of Home and on their Tasks tab, plus "Coming up this week" so a Saturday job shows on Monday. A number on the Tasks tab shows how many are left today.
Questions parents ask
My kid says they have no tasks.
Check What [name] sees on their page. Jobs from the list often land on Saturday, so they show under Coming up this week.
How much should I pay?
The list suggests amounts by age. A good rule: a job pays about what it would be worth to you to not do it yourself.
