Quests and Autopilot
Short challenges with real rewards, and real failure.
What it is
A quest is a challenge with a deadline: save $10 more in two weeks, do every chore for 5 days, make 3 sales. Win it and they get the reward. Miss it and they answer two questions: why did it fail, and what will you change? Then they can try again. Autopilot starts up to 3 quests a week for you from their real numbers.
Why it helps your kid
Kids learn more from a plan that failed and a comeback than from a trophy for showing up. There are no participation prizes here.
Where to find it
Kids tab → your kid → Streaks, quests & bonuses.
How to do it
- Tap Give a quest: pick the kind, the target, the days and an optional reward (money or words, like Pizza night).
- Or tap Pick from the quest library (120 quests by age). ✋ means you'll tap Won yourself; the rest check themselves.
- Turn Autopilot On and set a weekly reward budget. It never spends more than that. Swap any quest it picks.
- Kids can suggest their own quests. Say Yes, start it or Not now under Quest ideas from your kids on Home.
What your kid sees
Their quests with progress bars. When one fails, the why/what-will-you-change questions, then a Try again button.
Questions parents ask
What if my kid gets upset when a quest fails?
That's the point, gently. Talk about their answers at the Family Money Meeting. Comebacks earn their own badge.
