Set up your kid's phone or iPad
About 5 minutes. Have your phone (signed in as a parent) and your kid's device side by side.
1. Before you start (your phone)
- Make sure your kid is added (Kids tab) and has a PIN.
2. Put the app on your kid's iPhone or iPad
- On your kid's device, open Safari (the blue compass). It must be Safari for notifications to work.
- Type 2playersbanking.com in the address bar and go.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up). On iPhone it's at the bottom; on iPad it's at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add. An app icon appears on the Home Screen.
- Close Safari. From now on, always open the app from the new icon.
- Open the new icon and tap "Setting up a kid's device? Tap here". Leave it on the Link this device screen.
Or: on an Android phone or tablet
- Open Chrome and go to 2playersbanking.com.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (top right), then Add to Home screen or Install app.
- Open the app from the new icon and tap "Setting up a kid's device? Tap here".
3. Make a code on your phone
- On your phone, open the Family tab and scroll to Kid devices.
- Optional: name the device, like Living room iPad.
- Pick who uses it. Pick one kid if it's their own device: it opens straight to them and never shows brothers or sisters. Pick Any kid (shared) for a family iPad.
- Tap Make code. A 6-character code appears. It works once, for 15 minutes.
4. Finish on your kid's device
- Type the code and tap Link.
- Your kid taps their face and types their PIN.
- On their Home, tap Turn on under "Know when you get paid", then Allow. (iPhone/iPad need iOS 16.4 or newer.)
That's it. Your kid now has their own app icon, and you'll get a ping when they finish a task.
Using your own phone instead?
No code needed. On Home, tap Kid view and hand your phone over. Your kid taps their face and types their PIN.
If the device has Screen Time or Family Link
- iPhone/iPad Screen Time: if websites are limited, go to Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → App Store, Media, Web & Games → Web Content, and add 2playersbanking.com to Allowed Websites.
- Android Family Link: in the Family Link app, open your kid's Controls → Google Chrome → Manage sites → Approved, and add 2playersbanking.com.
- Allow notifications for the app too, if Screen Time or Family Link asks.
If something goes wrong
The code doesn't work.
Codes last 15 minutes and work once. Make a new code on the Family tab and type it right away. Letters can be upper or lower case.
The icon opens a sign-in page for parents.
Tap "Setting up a kid's device? Tap here" at the bottom and type a new code. Always type the code inside the app (opened from the icon), not in Safari: on iPhone the two are kept separate.
It says "Link this device" again later.
The link was removed or the website data was cleared. Make a new code.
It asks for the PIN again.
Kids stay signed in for 12 hours, then type their PIN again. That's on purpose, for shared devices.
My kid sees their brothers and sisters.
The code was made for Any kid (shared). That's right for a family iPad. For their own phone: on the "Who's this?" screen tap Set this device up again → Unlink this device, then use a code made for just that kid.
Notifications don't come.
On iPhone/iPad, the app must be opened from the Home Screen icon, not Safari, and it needs iOS 16.4 or newer. Check Settings → Notifications for the app.
It won't load.
The app needs an internet connection to show real balances. Check Wi-Fi, then open it again.
Lost phone or hand-me-down iPad?
- On the kid's device, at the bottom of the sign-in screen, tap "Not [name]'s device?" (or Set this device up again on a shared device), then Unlink this device. Then set it up for the next person with a new code.
- If the device is lost, change your kid's PIN (Kids tab → your kid → Settings). Nobody can open their screens without it.
